“I wrote the melody for “Bittersweet” with happiness in mind. However, as the title suggests, that wasn’t the whole story. The synth arpeggio that appears at the beginning of the song was factually written toward the end of the process... but it has a pensive, slow mood that is more bitter than sweet.”
